International meat company building cultivated meat hub in Brazil, to focus on beef products.
Global meatpacking leader JBS recently announced it has commenced construction on a cultivated protein research and development center in Brazil.
The company, which has invested $22 million in the project and intends to invest $40 million more, said The JBS Biotech Innovation Centre will be the “largest research facility focused on food biotechnology in Brazil.”
