Israeli, Aussie companies unite around clean-label preservatives for alt-proteins and other foods.
Israeli start-up Novella Innovative Technology Ltd. has formed a strategic partnership with functional ingredient producer Metaphor Foods, based in Braeside Victoria, Australia, to develop plant-based, natural preservatives for food applications, the companies said in a news release. Meat and poultry preservation are the initial target markets for the US$10 million alliance.
