Largest poultry producer in Germany sets focus on plant-based ingredients market.
German poultry producer PHW Group on Thursday announced its newest subsidiary company, VTEC Ingredients, which will created ingredients for the plant-based alt-meat sector.
The company intends to build "a competitive, value-added chain infrastructure analogous to and complementary to the core business segment of poultry," according to a news release.
