Alt-meat pick-and-shovel companies get support from Canadian government for pilot testing.
The Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN) has awarded more than C$1.9 million to eight foodtech projects through its FoodTech Next Program, including two alt-meat companies. The funds will support companies as they pilot their innovations in real-world conditions to validate their market fit.
