Daring Foods
Australian plant-based meat company v2food on Thursday made a bit of a US land grab when it announced the acquisition of US-based alt-chicken brand Daring Foods as well as a strategic partnership with Ajinomoto Co., a global food science company.
The acquisition combines v2food’s proprietary protein technology — which includes methylcellulose-free formulations and other clean-label innovations — with Daring’s established US market presence and retail penetration.
