UK standards needed for cultivated meat to thrive

UK's standards body notes importance of strict safety standards for cultivated meat. 

Standards are needed for cultivated meat to go mainstream, as they’d help instill public confidence. 

That’s among the conclusions of a white paper published by BSI, the UK’s national standards body, which set out to determine how to make cell-derived meat commercially viable and appealing to humans.
