Federal Supreme Court rules that animal names can’t be used on plant-based labels.

Switzerland’s Federal Supreme Court on Friday ruled that animal names, like “chicken” or “pork,” cannot be used to describe plant-based alternative products on the grounds that such terms constitute consumer deception.
