Not at the bottom yet: Retail sales continue to slide

Combined refrigerated and frozen plant-based meat alternatives in Circana's MULO+ universe generated $76.5 million in sales in the four weeks that ended July 27, 2025. In comparison to July 2024, this reflects double-digit decreases in dollar, unit and pound sales. Pound decreases, at -17.3%, were the steepest — signaling lagging demand.
