McDonald’s Austria last week announced that its plant-based patty, the McPlant, has been discontinued.
The burger was developed in conjunction with Beyond Meat and launched in 2021.
The restaurant chain cited poor consumer demand as well as the end of its contract with Beyond Meat as reasons for the change.
