A lot of money — but not enough?

In CRB Group's new Horizons report on the design, build and equipment investment plans of alt-protein companies, of the 31% of cultivated meat companies who indicated that they had a production target, the average target was almost 300,000 pounds per year.

That amount is substantially higher than recent estimates of actual production now being only 10,000 pounds per year, CRB notes: "Despite this, we believe such targets are achievable."
