Fermentation-enabled ingredients maker Nourish Ingredients on Tuesday announced that use of its proprietary Mortierella alpina biomass has been generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for use as a flavoring in food by the Flavor Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) Expert Panel.
