US food tech startup Plantible Foods, which makes a functional plant-based protein ingredient from fast-growing aquatic plants, on Monday cut a ceremonial ribbon at its 100-acre factory, signifying that the location is fully operational.
Called The Ranchito, the Texas-based factory allows the startup to make thousands of metric tons of plant-based biomass annually, enough to make hundreds of metric tons of its ingredient, Rubi Protein.
