Chicago-based cultivated pork firm serves up sausages in Calif.
Cultivated pork start-up Clever Carnivore last week hosted private taste tests of its cultivated bratwursts in Palo Alto and San Francisco.
The sausages served during the events contained a mix of 10% cultivated pork and 90% plant-based protein and fat ingredients. The company served full-size sausages — rare in a sector where taste tests are usually bite-sized.
