The Asia-Pacific region is an up-and-comer in investment in alternative proteins, growing from just 6% of global investment, in aggregate, from 2010 to 2021, to 19% in 2022, according to the Good Food Institute's "Alternative Proteins in APAC, 2023 State of the Industry Report."
For the first half of 2023, 9% of the global investment funds came from the APAC region.
GFI calculated the investment using Pitchbook data, which only included deals with disclosed amounts.
