Plant-based versions of its 3D-printed products will not be classified as 'novel' foods.
Food safety consultancy Merieux Nutrisciences has released a feasibility report stating that the plant-based, 3D-printed whitefish and steak products produced by Steakholder Foods Ltd. contain raw materials that can be considered safe for use in the United Arab Emirates, where Steakholder plans to build a large-scale production facility.
