Congressional bill would take on alt-meat labeling

Following a flurry of state-level bills, federal lawmakers put forward an alt-meat labeling bill.

Missouri Congressman Mark Alford has put forth a new bill, called the FAIR Labels Act of 2024, that would require alt-meat products to be labeled with "greater transparency" to ensure consumers have accurate information about products when making purchasing decisions.
